In the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy, members of our chapter came together to honor this American hero. For the MLK Day of Service, some members packed care boxes for families in need across the world. 🌍📦 Others collected non-perishable food to donate to a local pantry.🥫

Winter is approaching fast! Farmville Alumnae Chapter’s emergency response team does not want you to be left out in the cold or stranded, so be sure you have your emergency supplies in place:

  • Non-perishable foods/snacks
  • Non-electric can opener
  • Disposable cups, cutlery, and plates
  • Portable ice cooler
  • Change of clothes
  • Extra pair of glasses
  • Blankets/sleeping bags
  • Radio with extra batteries
  • Flashlight with extra batteries
  • Toilet paper
  • Emergency family plans
  • Charged cell phones
  • Phone charger
  • Credit cards or cash
  • Special items for pets
  • Special items for disabled persons
  • First aid kit
  • Gas in your tank
  • Check air in your tires
  • Jumper cables
  • Tire chains/tow strap
  • Ice scraper, shovel, and gloves
  • Sand/kitty litter

We supported STEPS, Inc. as they raised awareness for domestic and sexual violence at their event, “The Compassionate Purse.” We helped with setup earlier in the day and assisted throughout the event.
